It is human nature to care about something or someone. Caring provides the opportunity to exercise the nurturing characteristic within. It is an excellent quality that removes focus from oneself to another. But when that concern turns into worry and becomes a burden, it is time to cast it upon the Lord. Sometimes you can control circumstances, but most of the time, you cannot. God has a way of displaying His Sovereignty, signifying His might, power, and authority. He does this to remind His sons and daughters to throw their burdens upon Him because He cares for them. “Cast your cares on the Lord and he will sustain you; he will never let the righteous be shaken” (Psalm 55:22, NIV). Jesus is waiting for you to come unto Him, cast your cares, and find rest for your soul.
