A Heart for Jesus!

As you enter the Christmas holidays, understand that Jesus is the real reason for this season. In other words, without Christ, there would be no Christmas! Some Western Christians participate in Advent, which begins on the fourth Sunday before Christmas and ends on Christmas Eve. This is a special time of prayer, fasting, and repentance in spiritual preparation for the arrival of God’s son, Jesus Christ. If you have not already, here lies a wonderful opportunity to change your heart’s focus toward Jesus. Find a church that anticipates Christmas by a celebration of Christ! Begin a new life with Him!

The Word of God

The most important thing to me and for which I am most thankful is the Word of God! Why? God exalted the word above all things (Psalm 138:2). The Word is the breath of God and useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting, and training (2 Timothy 3:16). Jesus is the Word (John 1:1).  The Word of God is quick and powerful (Hebrews 4:12), it is my daily bread (Deuteronomy 8:3), it is truth (John 17:17), it increases my faith (Romans 10:17), it is purposeful (Isaiah 55:11). The Word of God gives me strength (Psalms 119:28), it preserves my life (Psalm 119:37), it is eternal (Psalm 119:89), it is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path (Psalm 119:105). The Word of God contains all His promises, which are “Yes” and “Amen” (2 Corinthians 1:20). Like never before, get God’s Word and let it dwell in you richly. Happy Thanksgiving!

Thanksgiving Eve!

For the month of November, I purposely focused on providing various scenarios to give thanks unto God. On this eve of Thanksgiving Day, I encourage you to set aside time for reflection of the past, enjoyment of the present, and hope for the future. Offer a sacrifice of praise, sing a song of thanksgiving, and shout for joy unto the Lord. Enter His gates with thanksgiving and trust in Him.

The Glory of His Goodness!

I am thankful for the one and only true God, whom we can call Abba Father. He sits high but His eyes are on you and His ears are attentive to your voice. Today, you need to know that God is concerned about you. He has not forgotten about you nor His promises to you. He calls you friend and simultaneously is the lover of your soul. He is a good Father and His mercy endures forever! Throughout this day, intentionally give Him the glory due His name!

Placed and arranged!

I am ecstatic about the body of Christ! Before time and as He pleased, God strategically placed and arranged each member in the church. He equipped you to function together and reach your highest potential as a living and thriving unit. I pray that you have assimilated. If not, seek the Lord who has already determined the place for you. Then connect, live, and reproduce. I want to give a shout out to my church family at Christ Chapel Mountaintop! I have need of you, love you, and thank God for you!

All of a Sudden!

Suddenly, Joshua attacked and defeated the Northern kings, a heavenly host appeared to the shepherds as the searched for baby Jesus, one hundred a twenty believers were filled with the Holy Spirit and spoke in other tongues, Saul the persecutor became Paul the worshipper, the church prayed and Peter was released from prison. God is immutable; He has not and does not change! I pray, in the name of Jesus, and thank God in advance, for transformation in your life today.

Thank you Jesus!

I can think of many great marriage relationships, including my own. Maybe one spouse has died for the other. However, only Jesus Christ has shed blood and has the ability to forgive us of our sins. Thank you Jesus! I am here to tell you that God loves you! Furthermore, He desires to establish a personal relationship with you through the grace of the Lord Jesus and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit. Believe that Jesus will forgive you and accept His invitation today!
